Litco was founded in 1964 in Carpentersville, IL to assist companies in the manufacturing industry who required machinery guards and chain casings. In 1994 Litco acquired select assets of the metal fabricator PEMCO. PEMCO was located in Hampshire, Illinois and also specialized in machinery guards and chain casings.

Prairie State Industries (PSI) acquired Litco in June, 2002. Since that time our emphasis has been on quality products, on-time delivery performance, and on-going training of our fabricators. Our engineering and design department has the experience to handle special configurations with offsets for fit-up problems, three or more section chain casings, casings and guards for three or more shafts, and special oil pump and spray systems.

PSI fabricates a wide range of products in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum and has the capability to work with materials from 18 gauge sheet products to 10,000 lb weldments. PSI has grown into a diversified metal fabricator still supplying the power transmission industry as well as wastewater treatment, rail transit, hazardous waste incineration, pump and fan manufacturing, material and grain handling, and escalator manufacturing industries.
